Bob Anderson is a senior principal hydrogeologist based in Washington with more than 30 years of experience focused on water resources development and management in the western United States. Bob is an expert in the characterization, analysis and modeling of regional groundwater systems and groundwater-surface water interaction at various scales.
He has led and participated in efforts for water supply development, aquifer exploration, water rights, source water protection, water quality characterization, basin planning, and regulatory compliance. His project experience includes regional groundwater supply development projects in the Pacific Northwest ranging from 5 to 40 million gallons per day; groundwater supply management in California under the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA); groundwater exploration and development in remote areas of Alaska; basin-scale water resources assessments across the state of Washington; agricultural water supply assessments in California’s San Joaquin Valley and the Columbia River Basin in Washington; land use planning support related to water supply and groundwater recharge; and source water protection planning in urban areas of Puget Sound.
